A licensed attorney and member of the State Bar of Michigan with professional experience in both law and law enforcement, John Biernat holds an associate degree in general studies from Macomb Community College and a bachelor’s degree in counseling psychology from Rochester College, where he graduated magna cum laude. John Biernat later earned a juris doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where he was on the dean’s list, received a book award, and served as an extended evening student treasurer.
Before entering the legal field, John Biernat worked for the Harper Woods Police Department as a patrol officer. During his service, he held positions such as community resource officer, field training officer, and defensive tactics instructor. His work focused on community engagement, training, and public safety, earning recognition from both the department and residents.
Mr. Biernat currently serves as an associate attorney at Padilla Law Group in Birmingham, Michigan. He handles personal injury and auto negligence cases and manages tasks such as trial preparation, drafting motions, and conducting case evaluations. Outside his professional duties, he participates in organizations including the Knights of Columbus, the Polish American Congress, and the Sigma Chi Fraternity. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, studying languages, playing musical instruments, and maintaining an active lifestyle.
